Where do I go for surf lessons in Ormond Beach?

Please meet at Surfari Surf Shop, which is located at 52 Bovard Avenue Ormond Beach, FL 32176.

What should I bring to a surf lesson?

Please bring sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, and water.

Where do I meet for surf camp?

Students should meet on the beach by the water's edge under the bright green canopy in front of the Birthplace of Speed Park in Ormond Beach. It is located just north of the Granada/SR40 beach approach. Parents should pick up and drop off students on the Granada beach approach each day. There is free public parking located in front of Salty Church.

What should I bring to camp?

Students should bring a lunch (or money to purchase lunch from vendors), towel, sunscreen, and beverages each day of camp.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes before camp on the first day to check in, obtain your rash guard, and sign the waiver. Right on time is fine for the remaining days of camp.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is a free public parking lot next to the surf shop. Free Public Parking is located at: 225 Vining Ct, Ormond Beach, FL 32176

Do I need to be a good swimmer?

If you can swim with your head above water, you will be fine. Weak swimmers will be kept in shallow waters near an instructor at all times.

Are there restrooms nearby?

 There are public restrooms on the beach approach close to where surf camp is located.

Are there stores and restaurants in the area?

Yes, there are many restaurants and stores close to the surf shop and surf camp locations.  We recommend Larry's Giant Subs, Genovese's Italian Cafe, and Jimmy Hula's for tacos and burgers.
